A few weeks have passed. I am dining at the restaurant again. The waitress [BG] who sent the note asking if I like “big girls” is now ignoring me. She appears to be pregnant. (I could be wrong; the last time I congratulated a woman on her pregnancy she was nothing of the sort.)
Months later…
Back at the restaurant, my suspicions are confirmed when she [BG] serves my table. She smiles bashfully…
BG: “I had a baby, you know.”
Jack: “That’s wonderful.”
BG: “Yeah, a girl.”
Jack: “Congratulations.”
I wonder who the baby’s father is. She had to have already been pregnant when she sent me that note.
